Athletes have successfully used visualization for years to enhance performance, psychologists and holistic therapists use it to help clients ground … apparently even cave men used them to envision the buffalo they would bring to their families.

Why? Because they work!

A vision board placed in a spot where you can see it often will help trigger constant visualization and enforce your goals. What you focus on expands.

The true power of a vision board lies in how it makes you feel, it becomes more than just a bunch of pretty pictures; it evokes a strong sense of purpose and sends messages to your brain.

When you are on purpose, you will naturally make choices that will help manifest your goals and intuitively shift into a life that heads in such a direction. Yes, the universe will meet you, that’s how the Law of Attraction works, however, with a vision board, there is more to it than setting intention. A vision board acts as a constant reminder to choose well, and will help keep you on track.

Q. Why does this workshop use a Wooden Buffalo Skull?

A. The Water Buffalo Totem brings you strength, reminds you to simplify your life, and to be grateful for the blessings and bounty all around. He is a great protector and looks after himself. Water Buffalo gives you the ability to carry great substance with ease, he is powerful enough to shift the earth and yet helps you to be gentle with yourself. The skull symbolizes the preciousness of life and the fundamental remains of a physical existence… what might you consider fundamental to your life, and a personal ‘lasting legacy’?

Besides, we like the idea of “bringing our dreams to life”… and it’s really cool.

Q. What should I put on my vision board?

A. Anything that inspires, ignites, and motivates you to feel deeply into your goal and aspirations. Collect items that WOW you when you look at them with your purpose in mind.

Q. What if I have some things I don’t want anyone to see?

A. Put them on the back or inside your Water Buffalo friend… he’ll keep your secret.

Q. Can I have more than one area of life on my board?

A. One is more powerful … and it’s about focus.. For the best ‘umph’ one is stronger. (If they are connected, it could work)

Q. How can I get started?

A. Ask yourself the following questions. Base your answers relating to the life arena you are going to work on….

  1. Where do you see yourself in 1-5 years?
  2. What small step can you take now to achieve it?
  3. If money was not an issue, what would you do?
  4. What does happiness feel like to you?

Before you come to class…

ASK: What do I want to bring to life?
Pick your purpose and be specific. (Relationships, career and finances, home, travel, personal growth (including spirituality, social life, education) and health.
Set strong intentions aligned to your personal value system.
Write your ideas down and bring them with you as you create.

ASK: How will manifesting this goal make me feel?
Write down single words to describe the emotion expected.

Gather your supplies and use ours. We supply bits and baubles, flowers and feathers, glue guns, markers, paint, ribbons and lace. Bring your words, pictures and other items important to your buffalo board.

Ask “How will the items I use reflect my vision and invoke the feeling that inspires me?”
Use colours that reflect the energy of the chakras that will be most empowering and healing based on your intention.
Avoid any items that feel stressful, comparative or at any level “yucky”.

During the class…

Create Sacred Space and nurture your imagination to feel the reality, the possibility; and believe in yourself.

Arrange your project until it sings to your soul … and begin the work of applying materials to the canvas.

Enjoy yourself!

When complete, put your vision board somewhere that you can see it. You will want to look at your board often and connect with ‘why’ you created it. It becomes a visual reminder of your intention.

Vision Board Aftercare: Make it real. When making decisions and taking action throughout your day; consciously make choices that steer you towards your desired outcome. Celebrate your successes and correct anything that goes ‘oops!’. Habit and resistance may try and bite, but your vision is stronger … so grab the bull by the horns…

Make life happen, instead of letting life happen to you.
