Be the Change: Inspiration for Transformation
First published in 2009, it is now a national bestseller.
Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi and brought to life through co-producing the ‘Be the Change Events’ in Whistler, BC, Canada. Be the Change Cards were created by Cheryl Davidson, Helena Diosa, Heather Henderson, Krista Hoffs, Kelly Oswald and Soulfeather.
With 52 positive affirmations designed to invoke authentic choices for a better world, you are invited to choose a card a week or a card a day and use the messages to empower you on your journey of personal transformation. By reflecting and acting on these concepts, you can ‘be the change you wish to see in the world’.

How to use BTC Cards
- Shuffle the cards or place them loosely on a table or in a dish.
- Ask a question in your mind or focus on a situation that could benefit from insight.
- Choose a card and reflect on the meaning of the words.
- Throughout your week, incorporate the shift of awareness in different situations.

Be the Change for Kids
Be the Change for Kids is a deck created by a family for families. This 52-card deck plants weekly seeds of inspiration, empowering children to make authentic, positive changes and react consciously to life situations.
Mahatma Gandhi said we can “Be the change we wish to see in this world”.

How to use BTC Cards for Kids
Your child may choose a card once a week, every day, or simply whenever inspiration strikes. This deck is a tool to help articulate abstract ideas, build personal empowerment, spark meaningful conversations, and stimulate imagination. It supports your child in discovering ways to embrace, understand, and act on new experiences. discover ways to embrace, understand and act on new experiences.
- Shuffle the deck and have your child choose one card.
- Discuss the concept and point out relevant experiences to help your child understand the meaning.
- Throughout the week, encourage your child to notice as they experience the essence of the card in different situations and how their choices affect the outcome.
